Prophecy fulfilled

More than two years ago, when I saw this guy struggling with the Windows Update, messing things that were working flawless if they were hidden from him, I stated that he is incompetent.
Turns out that he was criticising Microsoft anti-piracy measures while using an illegal copy of Windows XP for a few years now. He even went on to criticize bugs in Windows while pirating it. (more…)

Google tries harder to get you

This is not the regular Google-CIA story. I won’t forge ahead with the stories that nobody can prove.
I just felt that Google desktop Search is being pushed by Google so hard just because running their product is not only in their interest, but also against users’ interest. It’s simply too much pressure. This came to mind when cancelling Google Search History, I was proven that Google was still preserving it, linked to my name and to a timeline. Worse, when Google Desktop found on my computer files that I never knew were there, files that could compromise my marriage and my freedom, it sent the filename to their servers. (more…)
