Oldies But Goldies
Fairly important pieces of my digital life, two programs which went shareware a few years ago can still be found in their original freeware form.
First, it is the download manager that can actually rip RealPlayer and Windows Media streams, because it works with RTSP protocol as your regular download manager with HTTP and FTP. That will be NetTransport. Get from here the last freeware version (link to direct download).
Then it is the media converter that does wonders and moves the music from dirt (say WMA e.g.) to joy to your portable player or your regular computer (that is MP3). This is dbPowerAmp. Weird enough, the last freeware version is hosted by the creators. Get it from here.
